GoldenEye 007 - "All Bonds"

Photographs of the former James Bond actors in Multiplayer (using a text editor to add the name of each actor).

The existence of these photos within the memory of the GoldenEye 007 game cartridge led to speculation that it was possible to play the game as former actors who had portrayed James Bond...

Rareware
commented that the GoldenEye team had hoped to include them, but weren't able to for various reasons.

Promotional materials, and even the game's instruction manual showed evidence of at least two additional Bonds other than Pierce Brosnan...

In a Wal-Mart promo video (submitted by SubDrag), It appears as if the four photographs were used on the "Select File" screen at one time.

Each folder featuring a different Bond.

Apparently the Bonds were removed due to a licensing issue, as Rareware did not have the rights to feature the non-Brosnan actors who portrayed James Bond.

For a time, it was believed that a 24th cheat called "All Bonds" could be earned... This theory was disproved when the long lost "Line Mode" (pen and ink) cheat was discovered.

The so called "All Bonds" cheat never even existed, simply a fabrication of EGM magazine's April Fool's issue.

The unused "Line Mode" cheat in action.

With the release of Perfect Dark (2000) fans were finally able to see the Bond Dinner Jackets up close for the first time.

To the surprise of GoldenEye fanatics everywhere, the actual image files of the tuxedos and Bond actor faces were eventually unearthed from GoldenEye's ROM, thanks largely to SubDrag.

The faces, suit textures and character portraits for the missing Bonds as they appear in the ROM...

Roger Moore

Timothy Dalton

Sean Connery

A cheat patch can be used to return the Bond portraits to the game's file folders. It's kinda cool to see the four Bonds returned to their respective folders.

Having faced off against Baron Samedi, Scaramanga (The Man With The Golden Gun), and even surviving multiple battles against Jaws, Roger Moore is a good candidate for the Bond who wins the "Longest Innings" award...

Timothy Dalton stars in The Living Daylights and License to Kill - Both film names of course being referenced in the GoldenEye 007 game.

Connery. Sean Connery.
Most notable GoldenEye 007 related encounter is probably his duel with Oddjob in Goldfinger (which was just the third installment of the Bond franchise)

In their never-ending efforts to enhance the GoldenEye 007 experience, the brilliant minds behind GoldenEye X (an inspirational project lead by Wreck) have managed to include all five actors who've played James Bond...
